Getting More Serious About Blender

I’ve always been interested in 3D animation, but never really got into it. I tried Blender a bunch of times but its UX was so backwards in the early years that I could not get into it as hobby. Every longer break from would result in me forgetting all of the keyboard mappings and how the mouse works and every time I’d have to basically start from scratch. With Blender 2.8 its usability made huge strides and I thought it’s time to give it another go. The community also grew considerably and there is a lot more material out there to support noobs like me.

Here you can see an animation I created while following along Grant Abbitt’s Beginner Course for Blender 2.8 followed up by his Turntable Animation tutorial. I even bought the course he co-created on Udemy: Complete Blender Creator: Learn 3D Modelling for Beginners — highly recommended! They constantly update and adapt the course to match newer Blender releases. Once you bought it you always get the latest content.
