Bay Area 2019

Twelve days in California: a week in San Jose for WWDC 2019 (my first Dub Dub, thanks to a lucky lottery ticket and my generous employer) and four and a half days extending the trip on my own dime in San Francisco.

Facit

I came in expecting the postcard sights and got pulled in by the smaller stuff: Land’s End on a quiet afternoon, the goats under Sutro Tower with a million-dollar view, Mel’s waffles still tasting exactly like they did when my parents brought us here as kids. I’d skip Sausalito next time. And I’d remember that 36°C is not the right day for downtown sightseeing. I walked 250k steps and 185km in these few days. My feet still remember.
