Valencia Day One

In Valencia I hit the first snag with my short-term planning. For the first night the city was absolutely booked out. The only place left was “The Venue Hostel Boutique”. It was a nice place with rooms for 6 people (3 bunk beds). The people were amazingly disciplined and the place well organised. They have a nice garden with an outdoor bar where people (I guess digital nomads) sat around and worked on their laptops. As always, I checked in and went into the city centre.

I walked through the Jardín del Turia all the way over to the Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofía. I don’t know how, but I managed to completely miss the Torres de Serranos…

Away from the modern architecture I went again towards the old town.

The Spanish are quite strict about their meal regimen and it was impossible to get good food at a time a middle European like me gets hungry. I survived and had a good dinner. I walked back to the hostel and fell into bed. The watch showed 29.144 and 21,50km.
