Lisbon Day Three
27 Sep 2023

From my hotel I went straight up the hill to Jardim Calouste Gulbenkian and then over to Parque Eduardo VII. From there I walked again downhill towards Jardim Botânico de Lisboa and further to Jardim São Bento. Quite aimlessly I walked over to the Marina and the Praça do Comércio.

I made my way over to Sé de Lisboa and hiked uphill to Jardim Júlio de Castilho and from there further up and over to Castelo de São Jorge.

As is often the case with castles: You can view the surrounding city and the wide horizons quite comfortably. I took the time to grab a bite and chill a bit up there.

When I left I went down hill again and further north.

And finally back up hill to get a few last glimpses of the beautiful sunset. I was quite parched at this point and stumbled over a lovely place called “Rude”.

The ladies working there took me in, fed me and gave me excellent wine. Not Rude at all. Happy I walked back to my hotel.
I’m still biting my ass that I didn’t get a proper photo of one of those yellow trams climbing a hill. The watch showed 31.420 steps and 23,14km walked.
